I am all in when it comes to gardening. Almost every part of the experience delights me – new leaves emerging in spring, pollinators buzzing in summer, birds devouring berries in fall, and the somber beauty of seed heads in winter. Thanks to a background in horticulture and gardening my own clay-filled, flowery USDA zone 5b plot, I’ve learned plenty of practical things as well. I like sharing these joys and lessons with my fellow gardeners and soon-to-be gardeners any way I can.

I am new to the gardening scene and love sharing information and inspiration as I continue to learn and grow with my garden. My sunny and small apartment balcony in USDA zone 6 is the current source of my gardening inspiration. I have filled this small space with herbs, vegetables, shrubs, and more as I continue to search for a house to fulfill my gardening dreams. I also will be sharing interesting tips on gardening with chickens as I grew up showing, breeding, and raising them.

I’m a lifelong gardener who loves sharing my passion for plants in writing, videos, and on air. My very sunny, very sandy garden is in USDA zone 6, and I grow vegetables, herbs, native plants, and almost anything that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. My biggest gardening challenge is deer – though this means I can’t grow many of my favorite plants, it has been an interesting learning experience, which ultimately is the best part of gardening!

I am still pretty new to gardening, and I am eager to learn more as I grow my USDA Zone 5b garden. I have and will continue to fill my space with anything that attracts the bees and the butterflies. As I learn and grow in the gardening world, I am excited to share inspiration and tips that may help or inspire you on your gardening journey.
