Light: Grows best in full sun, gets the best foliage color and fruit set with 6 or more hours of direct sunlight.
Soil: For maximum potential, grow it in acidic, well-drained soil.
Water: Average water needs, water during droughts.
Fertilizing: Apply a balanced fertilizer in late winter or early spring.
Pruning: Rejuvenation pruning is recommended yearly after the plant has gotten established. This is the process of removing 1/3 of the thickest branches all the way to the ground. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.
Other: A compatible pollinator is required to set fruit.
